Welcoming Fall in Connecticut

Fall Foliage in CT

It seems like the Summer went by in a flash and now it’s officially Fall.  While we had a lot of fun this summer at places like Kid City and tried to make the best of our time in Disney World most of our time was spent trying to keep my two little ladies cool and entertained.

I don’t know about you, but I’m excited to welcome Fall.  There is something so special about Fall in New England.  I love watching the leaves change colors and waking up to the crisp autumn air.  We always make it a point to go apple picking and sample freshly baked apple cider donuts from our local farms.

Last year the girls were still too little to enjoy the Fall.  Now they are at a really great age.  They can help choose their pumpkins and pick some apples straight from the tree.

I also have to admit that I’ve been thinking about Halloween costumes for the twins since early August.  I’m leaning toward a lady bug and a bumble bee but I’m not 100% sure yet.  I guess that’s why I start planning so far in advance – so I have plenty of time to change my mind!

It feels like I’ve been filling my Fall Pinterest board with yummy pumpkin recipes and beautiful tablescapes for weeks in anticipation of the new season.  I only wish all my pins came with a professional baker and party planner.

Do you love Fall as much as I do?  Do you have any great Fall activities planned with your little ones?
