St. Patrick’s Day Rainbow Necklace
St. Patrick’s Day is tomorrow and I decided to get in on some of the fun with my girls by making a rainbow necklace out of cereal. It’s a festive little craft that was quick and yummy. This is the perfect preschool and toddler aged St. Patrick’s Day craft. If you’re lucky, you might already have everything you need to make one today, too!
My girls will be starting preschool in the fall so I find myself doing more and more educational and fun activities with them at home. They love to do crafts and I love to help. The former teacher in me (that’s still hard to say after three years away) loved this activity. It looks so simple to an adult, but to a toddler, it’s filled with learning. It’s practicing colors, fine motor, patterns, and sorting. Who said learning couldn’t be fun, and delicious?! And as a bonus to parents, it’s something they can do independently (mostly), which means you can fold a load of towels or enjoy that glass of wine!

Froot Loops

String
We started stringing with yarn but that frayed quickly. I switched to a thin piece of wired ribbon. I could have also wrapped a piece of tape around the end of the yarn to make it easier to work with.
