Family Friendly Shows at the Palace Theatre in Stamford, CT

Disclosure: The Palace Theatre provided my family with complimentary tickets. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

We are a Disney Junior household. Mickey, Jake, Doc, and Sophia are a part of the family. When I heard that The Palace Theatre in Stamford, CT was hosting Dinosaur Train Live I quickly changed the channel to PBS. I knew that my kids would love watching non-scary dinosaurs and trains (what kids wouldn’t?).

I was really excited to introduce the girls to a live performance. We watched Dinosaur Train on TV and YouTube prior to the show. I made sure to explain that the dinosaurs weren’t going to be real – just people in costumes. On the day of the show they were really excited to see the dinosaurs. As luck would have it, there was a giant accident on our way to the show and it caused us to miss a large portion of the it.

Everyone at the theater was very accommodating and walked us in even after the show had started. From what we saw, the show was great. Several friendly dinosaurs singing and dancing. Thankfully my girls didn’t even realize that we had missed the beginning of the show! They were just excited to point out the characters and bop to the music.

There are so many great shows in the upcoming lineup. I’m really excited for a return visit to The Palace. I love the idea of exposing my kids to performing arts. It’s something that I really enjoy and hope that they can one day share in it too.
