Love List September 2015
Isn’t it funny how September quickly changes from summer to fall? It’s as if school starts and it quickly goes from shorts weather to comfy sweatshirts. I’m not complaining. I love the crisp fall air and watching the leaves change. It’s a great time of year in Connecticut.
This month was spent starting school, picking apples, hayrides, packing up my house to move, and the birth of my best friend’s new baby boy (I can’t wait to meet him!). I’ve been busy this month checking off things from my list of 50 family-friendly fall activities. October is already scheduled to be another busy month.
Here are some of my favorite things from September.
Pumpkin Spice
Like most of America, I have an obsession with pumpkin spice everything. Put it in my candles, tea, crackers, cookies and I’m a happy girl. It’s the perfect first sign of fall.
Season Premieres
I have a few favorite shows I like to watch. Since there are slim pickins’ for summer TV, I’m always excited for the new seasons to start again. September signals the season premiers of my favorite shows. What are your favorites? I need some new suggestions.
Preschool
My twins started preschool this month. They’ve been home with me full-time since they were born so I was a little nervous about their transition. Thankfully, they seem to be adjusting well. It also gives me some quality time just to be with Andrew.
Gymboree
Gymboree is my favorite store for little girl clothes. My girls’ first day of school outfit is from Gymboree. Apple tights!! You can’t get any cuter. It’s my go-to store for the perfect outfit no matter what the occasion.
Fantasy Football
Here’s a random fact about me – I’m awesome at fantasy football. I play in a league with family and friends and have won the championship two years in a row! The ironic part is that I don’t watch football or know all the rules of the game but I beat the boys every week in our league. Can I win 3 years in a row?!?
Talk about it
