Phew! October was one of the busiest months I have ever had! We packed it full of new babies, boxes, moving trucks, dream homes, farms and super heroes. Put it all together and we had a pretty awesome, but exhausting month. I’m looking forward to things settling down at home in November.
Here are my top 5 things from October.
Selling Our House
After 8 years in our beloved home, we finally sold it. It was a long and difficult process keeping our house show-ready for the months that it was on the market. I’m glad to have that process behind us but it was a bittersweet moment as we gave away our first home. It was where we moved in together after our honeymoon and where we brought home all of our babies. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into every inch of that home. It will always have a special place in our hearts but we’ve outgrown it and it’s time to move on. We’re so excited for our next home and new adventures to come.
Building Our Dream Home
By far the most exciting part of our month (and lives!) was signing the contract to build our dream home. We are beyond thrilled. The house should be complete in the spring and every day that passes we’re that much closer to construction and moving in. I’m excited to see our visions come to life and be a part of the whole process.
Trip to New Jersey
My best friend had a new baby boy in September and I finally got to meet him. They live in New Jersey so it takes a little bit of planning to arrange for us to get together, but we finally made it work. Baby Michael is the sweetest little boy and it satisfied my baby fever (for the moment). Nicole and I have been best friends since our early college days. I’m so glad that our kids are growing up so close in age. Yes, we coordinated their outfits.
I’m in love with my new Bandolino flats. They add quite a bit of sparkle to my ordinary outfits; making them just a bit more fun. Plus, they are super comfy. They are the perfect pairing for these crisp fall mornings and warmer afternoons.
I have always loved Halloween and I love it that much more now that I have kids of my own. This year my family dressed up as super heroes. We’ve been planning our costumes since last November so everyone was so excited for the big day to finally come. I love seeing the smiles on my kids’ faces and sneaking a few mini snickers when they aren’t looking!
