Love List November 2014

posted by yazmin

I looked at the calendar today and was surprised to see that it was already December. Where did November go? I’m just starting to catch my breath after a busy Thanksgiving weekend and lots of Christmas shopping. It’s hard to believe that we’re only a month away from a new year!

Love List November 2014

We spent most of the month scrubbing our house from top to bottom for Open Houses. While it didn’t lead to any solid buyers, our house looks the best it’s ever looked. It wouldn’t be such a bad thing if we stayed here for a bit longer.

When I wasn’t laying down mulch (who does that in November?) or scrubbing corners of the house I’ve never seen before, I got to experience a few great things this month. Here are a few of my favorite things from November.

Thanksgiving

126

This was the first year since Chris and I got married that we didn’t host Thanksgiving. I have to admit that it was a welcome treat to let someone else take the reigns while I sat back and enjoyed the holiday. This year I have so much to be thankful but most importantly I’m thankful for my beautiful little family. I never could have imagined the joy these little turkeys would bring to my life.

Chris and I went to the Usher concert earlier in the month. It was our first time seeing him live and he was AMAZING. He has great energy. I felt like the concert kept getting better the longer he performed. It’s hard to believe that he’s been around since the 90’s and continues to be so current today.

Black Friday

Black Friday

Some people rush to get the best deals after they finish their pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving Day, but I prefer to do my shopping from the comfort of my own home. With 3 little ones, it’s just easier to order things online and have them shipped to my door. This year I bought a lot of clothes for my kids online. They’re all going up a size and I won’t be able to get new clothes much cheaper than the Black Friday prices. A lot of my favorite children’s stores had 50% off, plus free shipping. I was also able to use coupons to save additional money.

Ebates

With all my online shopping I’ve been logging into Ebates before buying anything. They had a special promotion between Black Friday and Cyber Monday where they doubled the percentage you get back on your purchases for many stores. We bought the girls a Power Wheels toy as their big ticket Christmas gift and I made over $15 back on that one purchase. If you don’t already use it, definitely check it out!

Asked to be a Bridesmaid

Bridesmaid

Chris’ sister recently got engaged. We’re all really happy that she found a great guy to spend the rest of her life with. To tops things off, she asked us all to be in her wedding. I was really honored that she asked me. She was a bridesmaid in our wedding 7 years ago and I’m happy to return the favor. I’m also really excited to see my girls as flower girls and Andrew as a ring bearer!
