Love List May 2015

posted by yazmin

We just got home from a fabulous family vacation (more on that to come). We’re almost halfway through June but I still have a few of my favorite things to share from May.

May is a super busy month at my house. We have Mother’s Day, Chris’ birthday, and my birthday all within a few weeks of each other.

Love List May 2015

Here are a few of my favorite things from May 2015.

Cottage Restaurant Plainville, CT

Cottage Restaurant Plainville CT

We went to the Cottage Restaurant for my birthday dinner. From the outside, you would never expect such amazing food. Don’t let the exterior fool you because our meal was delish! We’re still raving about the garlic buffalo wings. Yum! We can’t wait to go back.

Pictli

Pictli

Pictli asked me to try out their new photo framing service and I happily agreed. It’s super easy to use. Simply download the app to your phone or use their website. Upload your favorite photo. Choose a frame and you’re done. The package arrives beautifully wrapped. It makes a perfect gift at an affordable price. Use promo code YJ1504 for an additional 20% off (expires 6/30/15).

Adventure Rooms

Adventure Rooms Middletown CT

As part of my birthday weekend Chris took me to Adventure Rooms in Middletown, CT. It was a surprise so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s basically a room full of locked cabinets and doors that you have to open after solving puzzles. They give you an hour to complete 3 rooms. It took a few minutes to get used to the concept, but once we got going I really liked it. It would make an awesome date or hangout with friends. They rotate their rooms and are hoping to add new rooms soon. I’d definitely want to try it again.

Nick Jonas CD

I’m not afraid to admit that I really like the Nick Jonas CD. While I never listened to the Jonas Brothers, I’m really liking this solo album. Part of me feels like a cougar listening to someone who was once in a boy band but the music is really good. He already has two hits on the radio and I think they’ll be more to come.

Dave & Buster’s

Dave & Buster's CT

Dave & Buster’s opened their first restaurant in Connecticut last year. We’ve been to different ones before but it’s nice to have one not too far in Manchester, CT. It’s a giant arcade and restaurant in one. They have a large menu with bar food and fun drinks. When you’re done eating you just head over to the arcade. We went for an early Saturday dinner and found it to be kid-friendly. There were plenty of kids around, kid-friendly games to play, even a family bathroom with changing table.
