DIY Nursery Wall Letters

posted by yazmin

Andrew’s modern safari nursery is finally complete. One of my favorite DIY projects in the room was the wall letters I created to spell out his name above the crib. It was a project that I had seen on Etsy sold for almost $20 a letter! I knew that I could create something similar for a fraction of the cost and with lots of love.

Name Above Crib

Supplies

  • Canvas
  • Fabric
  • Letters
  • Staple Gun
  • Painter’s Tape

I started with six 9×12 stretched canvases, six 1/4 yards of fabric, and 10 inch letters that I painted to match the nursery.

After ironing out any creases, I wrapped the fabric tightly around the canvas and stapled it in place.

I positioned the letter on the fabric and held it in place with painter’s tape. I then secured it with several staples through the back of the canvas.

The result was exactly what I wanted! It is the perfect addition to his striped focal wall.
