It took a little while for the weather to really start feeling like fall but it’s officially here and I love it. There’s just so much to do this time of year in Connecticut. One of my new additions to my list of 50 family-friendly fall activities is Brown’s Harvest in Windsor, CT. I had heard good things about this fun fall event and knew that I needed to make the trip to check it out for myself.

Brown’s Harvest is a family owned farm. They grow different fruits and vegetables during the summer months and in the fall feature a list of family-friendly events and activities. It’s great for every member of your family.

Activities

Included in the price of admission are several different activities that are perfect for families.

Kids Corn Maze

Since my little ones are all under the age of five we decided to purchase tickets for the kids corn maze. It’s geared for kids under 10. The corn maze is small but they enjoyed navigating the different paths toward the exit.

6 Acre Corn Maze

The large corn maze is open on weekends and Columbus Day only. Each year they feature a different maze theme. This year the theme is “Salute to the American Soldier.”

Kids Play Area

Outside of the kids corn maze is a small play area. They have a few play houses, tires, and swings for the kids to enjoy. It’s a great spot to play while waiting for the hay ride.

Hay Ride

The hay ride is included with your price of admission. The ride is about 15 minutes and takes you around the farm.

“B” Barn Activities

The barn activities were the highlight of the day. They were all simple yet fun games. My kids had a great time playing at all of the different stations. There were tire swings, corn pits, hay maze, chickens and an old fire trip.
